Mobile Rules Everything

by Brian on March 7, 2010

Mobile usage of social networks is up something like 900,000%, and one European Google exec thinks that the combo of mobile computing (“super phones”) and cloud storage will make traditional computers irrelevant sooner rather than later.

Cloud storage is where everything – documents, contacts, calendar, bookmarks, etc – are all stored online. I do this, find it incredibly useful, and is why I push the Google Everything program.

Once it comes out, give me an iPad and light wireless keyboard and I’m good to go.

The only need I have for a bulkier laptop or desktop computer is for high-power tasks like video editing, etc.

I’m not alone, either – slowly but surely baby-boomers are adopting what’s known as the mobile web.

Face it, you go to get a new cell phone and there are more smartphones than traditional ones on display in the store.

I wanted to show you this video, also – it’s been around, but is one of the best examples for where we’re headed with all this social media stuff – both for business and personal.
